Dominic Mammarella is a 2nd year MBA student at Wharton. He spent his summer conducting credit research at T. Rowe Price, where he worked primarily with the high yield and investment grade groups. Dominic spent the four years between Wharton and undergrad at Lehman Brothers, most recently as a member of the absolute return strategies client development group. In that role, he participated in numerous deals involving both institutional and high net worth clients. Dominic’s extracurricular interests include investing, following the Philadelphia Philles and Eagles, and playing poker.

Amit Singhal is a 2nd year MBA student at Wharton. In Summer’09 he worked at Owl Creek, a $4bn distressed/ event-driven hedge fund in New York, where he focused mainly on credit investments. Before coming to Wharton, he worked in Private Equity at Goldman Sachs from 2006-2008 and in Leveraged Finance at Morgan Stanley from 2004-2006. Amit’s extracurricular interests include skiing, scuba-diving, tennis, running and adventure travel (across 30 countries and 5 continents).

Anand Ramakrishnan is an MBA student at Wharton. In '09 he did an internship as analyst for a technology-focused Portfolio Manager at a multi-billion dollar long/short equity hedge fund. Anand has a successful track record of investments in the Internet/Tech Industry. After completing his B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and his Masters from Stanford, Anand gathered 13+ years experience in the Internet/Software industry with companies such as Oracle & Yahoo across various operations roles at an Executive level. In his spare time, Anand enjoys playing poker, snowboarding, and swimming.

Caroline Donchess is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Before coming to Wharton, Caroline worked for Sankaty Advisors, the fixed income affiliate of Bain Capital, in their Mezzanine and Private Placements Group where she evaluated and executed transactions in industries including transportation and restaurants. Prior to joining Sankaty Advisors, she worked in the entertainment industry in motion picture development and network television production. Caroline’s extracurricular interests include skiing and practicing ballet and yoga.

Derek Lin is a 1st year MBA/MA student at Wharton and the Lauder Institute. Before attending Wharton, Derek worked at J.P. Morgan Securities in Toronto, covering clients across all industries and products with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Derek has completed all three levels of the CFA exams. Derek’s extracurricular interests include basketball, softball, travelling, and gambling on sports.

Farez is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. During the summer, he worked for Four Rivers Group, a late stage venture capital fund. Prior to Wharton, Farez was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers in their Credit Analytics group. He was in charge of modeling the Lehman High Grade and High Yield Fixed Income indices. Farez’s extracurricular interests include tennis, scuba diving and World War II.

Hui Ting Chan is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. In addition to her IM club duties, she serves as 1st year VP for Wharton’s Sales & Trading Club, Cohort Diversity Representative and Fundraising Director for the Wharton International Volunteer Program. Prior to Wharton, Hui Ting was Assistant Director at the Central Bank of Singapore. There she spearheaded strategies to grow Singapore’s hedge fund and mutual fund industry which resulted in 28% annual growth in assets under management. In her free time, Hui Ting enjoys writing, traveling and teaching kids. Hui Ting holds a BSc in Economics (First Class Honors) from the London School of Economics and MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University.

Jenny Chou is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Before coming to Wharton, Jenny worked in the non-profit sector for a year in Southeast Asia. Prior to her non-profit experience, Jenny worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Company as an Energy Analyst and in private equity at Capital Royalty, LP. as a Healthcare Associate. Jenny enjoys reading, running and travel. In early 2009, she summited Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and in late 2009, she plans to trek across Antarctica with her classmates at Wharton.

David Neiderer is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Before coming to Wharton, David worked for Deutsche Bank in their Distressed Asset Trading group and worked within the valuation and risk management function. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a consultant at Deloitte and Touche and a small firm outside of Philadelphia where he worked primarily in retail strategy. David passed the CPA in 2005. David’s extracurricular interests include running, hiking, hunting, and all competitive sports.

Adam Piekarski is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Before coming to Wharton, Adam worked for the private equity team at MSD Capital, Michael Dell’s $12 billion personal investment firm. Prior to MSD, he worked for the Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs where he evaluated private equity investments in the commodities industry globally. Adam began his professional career in the energy investment banking group at Citigroup after graduating from Duke University in 2004. Adam’s extracurricular interests include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, running, snowboarding and rugby.

Asaf Horesh is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton, majoring in Finance. Asaf Served 8 years as an Apache Helicopter pilot in the Israeli Air Force. During this period he held several positions, most recently First Deputy in command of the helicopters squadron in the Flight Academy, where he evaluated flight cadets and recommended actions to Flight Academy Commander. Following his service Asaf earned his BSc in Computer Science and worked as an engineer at Elbit in their algorithms research group. Before coming to Wharton he worked for a software startup. Asaf’s interests include snowboarding, swimming and soccer. He also holds a bronze medal from an international triathlon.

Peter van de Veer is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Before coming to Wharton he was portfolio manager of three fund-of-funds at Paerel Vermogensbeheer, an asset management firm in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. One of the funds Peter managed obtained 5 Morningstar stars, indicating a top 10% performance ranking within the peer group. Peter holds a MSc in Economics and a Master of Financial Analysis from VU University Amsterdam and is a Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Peter's extracurricular interests include tennis, soccer and chess.

Adam is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Since 2004, Adam has worked at First New York Securities, a proprietary trading company. Adam started as an assistant trader on the international equities desk and having successfully traded his own global portfolio, became the firm's youngest partner at age 25. In 2008, Adam was recognized by Trader Monthly Magazine as one of the,"Top 30, Under 30." While he is in school, Adam will continue to run a portfolio for First NY. His interests outside of work include playing soccer, doing triathlons, seeing movies, and sitting on the beach.

Marcelo Mifano is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Before coming to Philadelphia, Marcelo managed equities portfolios on Santander’s Proprietary Trading Desk in Brazil and analyzed the bank’s investments in non-public companies. Prior to that role, he ran the Proprietary Relative Value Trading Desk, where he traded local markets, currencies and external debt bonds. Marcelo holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Poli-USP and is a CFA charterholder.

Sam Taylor is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Concurrently with his studies, Sam is doing research on small and mid-cap equities for GV Capital, a start-up hedge fund founded by Wharton alumni. Prior to Wharton, Sam worked in private equity and consulting in Central America with Mesoamerica Investments, a boutique firm based in San Jose, Costa Rica. Sam also has experience consulting for large financial services institutions with Oliver Wyman in New York and Mexico City. In his free time, Sam enjoys pick-up basketball and cycling.

Ted Daverman is a 1st year MBA student at Wharton. Prior to Wharton he worked for IBM Global Business Services in their Financial Management practice. Most recently at IBM Ted worked on engagements with the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) where he analyzed the liability associated with FHA’s $56 billion multifamily mortgage insurance portfolio and their $40 billion reverse mortgage insurance portfolio. Prior to FHA, Ted performed consulting work at the United States Postal Service. Ted received a B.S. in physics and computer science from Duke University. His interests include fly fishing, snowboarding, golf, and mountaineering.

Sarah Dong is a 1st year MBA / MSE student at Wharton and the University of Pennsylvania's Engineering School. Prior to Wharton, Sarah was a Vice President at Bank Hapoalim's Special Situations Group, where she advised clients on de-risking loan portfolios. Before Bank Hapoalim, Sarah worked at Deutsche Bank in the Alternative Risk Markets Group, covering monoline insurers in the underwriting and hedging of structured credit products. Sarah graduated with dual degrees in Finance and Systems Engineering from Wharton/University of Pennsylvania in 2006. Her interests include target shooting, scotch tasting and animal rescue.
